brennan ma or bren (18 and impossibly tall) has lived a two-sided life, having been be raised straddling his korean side with his europrean side. his mother, a serious businesswoman, has kept the family traveling as she rises through the ranks of her job, his father raising him and his two sisters (astrid, the eldest, and chae-mi, the youngest). while this has given him a nuanced take on gender roles in the family, it has also made him an attention seeker as the middle child. he is not destructive or disrespectful and has instead turned to the internet and fandom culture to get the attention he desires.

brennan had been made aware of how pretty he is at an early age, and while he isn't so much interested in fashion, he is very much interested in the concept of dressing up as characters, disappearing into costumes and performances. he thrives on instagram attention and being recognized at conventions and other nerdy events. due to his upbringing, he hasn't had the chance to make many friends and prioritizes the online friends he has made through his hobby. bren sews decently, working his way up from customizing purchased costumes towards making his own, and enjoys crafting armor and weapons out of foam.

for now, his family has settled in the suburbs just outside of of a major city, and brenan has taken a job working for a doughnut shop to help fund his costuming, finding that people love ever-changing content online.

though he is deeply focused on being accepted to the point of being selfish at times, at his heart, he is a good kid who cares about his family and just wants to make some friends. brennan is very crafty and good at improvising, and he is friendly when approached, even flirty if he's interested. his mother wishes he'd spend his time looking into universities instead of stuffing his brain with "useless" knowledge about which animes or games are hot in the moment.
